ASA Masters, Sheffield, 2010

Eleven Oundle swimmers participated in the ASA National Masters Championships in Sheffield. Paul Davies, Natasha Tye and Ellie Woods joined took part in their first National Masters Championships with Ellie winning a bronze medal in the women's 120-159 4 x 200m freestyle relay with teammates Claire Foster, Amy Mellor and Jayne O'Brien. Barry O'Brien, Nick Morgan, Nicola Latty, Susie Danby and Katie Wills completed the Oundle line up.

World Masters, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2010

Nicola Latty won gold in the 35-39 200m butterfly at the World Masters Swimming Championships in Gothenburg, retaining her title from the championships in Perth two years ago. Claudia Nunez Nunez (Argentina) won silver and Anja Hanz (Germany) won bronze.

GB Masters, Glasgow, 2010

Barry O'Brien claimed double gold at the GB Masters Long Course Swimming Championships. Barry won the 50-54 100m and 200m breaststroke events in the Tollcross pool, the location for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Read More...

Midland Masters, Leamington Spa, 2010

Leamington Spa was again the venue of the Midland Masters Swimming Championships.

In her first meet of the year, Jayne O’Brien was the women’s 100 breaststroke championship for the 50-54 age group. Not to be outdone, Barry O’Brien claimed the men’s 100 breaststroke title in the next event.

Paul Davies returned home with two silver medals in 18-24 age group. The silver medals were in the men’s 100 butterfly and 100 IM. Amy Mellor claimed a silver medal in the women’s 30-34 200 freestyle and bronze in the 50 backstroke. Read More...
