GB Masters, Manchester, 2007

Date: 15-17/06/2007

All five Oundle swimmers who travelled to Manchester for the GB Masters Long Course Championships returned as medal winners. Their combined efforts gave the team nine medals, five of which were gold.

Barry O'Brien won Oundle's first gold medal of the meet in the men's 50-54 200 breaststroke, breaking his own British record in the process. Nicola Latty followed Barry's example by winning the women's 35-39 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and 100 freestyle. Nicola also claimed silver in the 400 IM.

In the men's 35-39 400 IM, Lee Kilby won his first national masters championship to add to the bronze medal he won in the 200 IM earlier in the meet.

Nick Gaggini and Susie Danby completed the medal collection with silver and bronze medals respectively in the 50 breaststroke events.

The next competition for the team is the European Masters Championships in Slovenia.
